Film scoring and sound design are rapidly growing aspects of Raz Mesinai's musical output. Following a fellowship at the Sundance Composers Lab during the summer of 2004, Raz Mesinai has composed original scores for several feature films, documentaries and shorts, including Sorry, Haters (dir. Jeff Stanzler for InDigEnt, 2005, starring Robin Wright Penn and Abdel Kechiche), Romantico (dir. Mark Becker, 2005), and The Projectionist (dir. Elaine Liu, 2006) which won the Clive Davis "Excellence in Music in Film" Award. His music has previously been heard in Black Hawk Down (Ridley Scott, ColumbiaTristar, 2001), The Truth About Charlie (Jonathan Demme, Universal, 2002), Hellraiser 6 (Scott Derickson, Miramax, 2000), Paper, Rock, Missiles for Paper Tiger TV and others.
